Seattle * Circa 2017
A couple of years ago we took our three boys to the USA for a Christmas trip to celebrate the eldest finishing high school. One of the places we visited was Seattle. What a great city to visit. I love looking back on these photos and remembering how it felt to be there, in a foreign city experiencing this with my family. This is the Market Theatre Gum Wall in Post Alley. Situated in Pikes Place this place is so colourful and smells disgustingly sweet. The tradition of sticking gum to the wall outside the box office began in 1993 and by 1999, after scraping the wall twice the market officials deemed the wall a tourist attraction and it is now so covered in gum and other bits.
